Integrity in leadership is the consistent alignment between values, decisions, and actions. It requires school leaders to safeguard valuable resources, time, funding, human capacity, and trust, while making decisions grounded in ethical principles and sound judgment. Integrity also demands regular reflection on the philosophical assumptions and moral commitments that guide leadership practice. From an Indigenous-centered perspective, integrity is rooted in relational accountability, responsibility to community, and honoring commitments to students, families, and future generations.

Experiences Demonstrating This Disposition in Practice
I demonstrate integrity through transparent, values‑based decision-making and careful stewardship of resources. In my work leading instructional improvement, MTSS redesign, assessment practices, and professional learning, I consistently consider how decisions impact students, staff, and families over time. I engage in reflective practice when allocating resources, designing systems, or recommending changes, ensuring actions align with equity, cultural responsiveness, and student-centered priorities. Integrity is also reflected in my commitment to consistency, following through on initiatives, communicating honestly with stakeholders, and addressing challenges directly. By grounding decisions in both ethical reasoning and community values, I work to maintain trust and credibility within the school system.

To continue strengthening this disposition, I plan to engage in more intentional and documented ethical reflection, particularly when navigating complex systems-level decisions. I will continue examining my philosophical assumptions and leadership rationale to ensure they remain aligned with community values, equity, and collective responsibility. Seeking mentorship and collaborative dialogue around ethical dilemmas will further support my growth.
